Ingredients

Surti papdi seeds
1 cup
Potato - diced.
cup 1/2
Oil.
1 tsp
Cumin seeds/jeera.
1/2 tsp
Tiny asafoteda.
pinch a
Salt and red chilly powder
to taste.
Turmeric powder.
1 tsp
Dhaniya powder. .
1 tsp
Jaggery powder (to taste).
1.5 tbsps
Water.
1 cup

Steps

  1. In a cooker, heat oil and add the jeera and asafoetida.
  2. Add the salt, turmeric, red chilly powder and dhaniya powder.
  3. Add the potato and seeds.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add the water and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles on full flame.
  6. Once the pressure escapes, open the lid.
  7. Turn the gas on medium flame and add the jaggery.
  8. Cook it for 2-3 min.
  9. Serve hot with chapati/bhakri.
